just got back from sabah in the wee hours of the morning. this trip to sabah was a very relaxing one. the thing about being in sabah is, you always feel like you can take a step back and enjoy the simple things in life. i suppose to a certain extent it's like detaching yourself from the fast-paced lifestyle here in singapore.
well our main purpose for going to sabah was to celebrate my granny's 80th birthday. i think i'm very blessed to have all my grandparents still alive and in fairly good health, especially for their age. may God continue to bless them richly.
anyway, we threw a dinner celebration for my grandma in a restaurant. quite a comfortable size of people were invited and attended the dinner... close to a hundred, i would say.
among the other things i did in sabah was to take a river cruise and catch the movie cars, at at astonishingly low price of RM6.00. movies there are so cheap it's really insane. but watching movies isn't exactly a popular thing to do among sabahans, so it should be a while before the prices go up.
i'm going to hong kong tomorrow! can't wait! i'll be back next tuesday.
